Miners’ Tavern
 
A visit to the Mine is an opportunity to taste delicious dishes served in the underground restaurant. At the end of the tour of the Tourist Route, tourists rest in the complex of the Staszic–Budryk–Warszawa–Wisla chambers. Here, they can rest a while, buy souvenirs and have a meal after the hike. The underground restaurant offers a rich menu of traditional dishes of Polish cuisine. Delicacies flavoured with Wieliczka salt are a real treat for the palate, and 125 m underground, the taste of the dishes acquires unique intensity. Both individual tourists and organised groups can benefit form the offer of the restaurant in the Witold Budryk Chamber. Each group which books a tour of the Mine may also choose and order a dinner menu, which will be prepared for the time appointed. The delicious dinner will be waiting for you in an unusual setting of rock salt. The underground kitchens also prepare superb food for special-event guests and the most distinguished visitors to the Mine. The delicacies were served among others to the Thai princesses Soamsawali Mahidol and Chulabhorn Mahidol. The President of Poland Lech Kaczyński invited to a refined dinner the participants of the Energy Summit: the Presidents of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus; the Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko; Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev; Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili; and the representative of the President of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Energy Lyazzat Kiinov.
