“Wieliczka” Salt Mine is situated 10 km (ca miles) from the city centre of Krakow along the E 40 road.

You can reach Wieliczka from the Main Railway Station in Krakow by taking:

• a local train to Wieliczka Rynek train timetable
• by bus – Line No. 304 (departs from the bus stop opposite Galeria Krakowska on ul Kurniki (street); disembark at the Wieliczka Kopalnia Soli stop) time table

Mini buses leave from a stop opposite the Main Post Office in Krakow. (Westerplatte/Starowiślna street junction) every few minutes towards Wieliczka Rynek; get off at the Dembowskiego/Daniłowicza street junction in Wieliczka.

• mini bus depart for Krakow from the bus stop at Dembowskiego/Daniłowicza street junction towards Wieliczka Centre

Minibuses depart for Wieliczka every few minutes from bus stops near the Main Railway Station PKP in Krakow as well as stops on Pawia street and Dietla street (Dietla and Starowiślna junction). Take one of the minibuses heading towards Wieliczka Rynek and get off at the Dembowskiego and Daniłowicza junction.

Ticket offices are located in the upper part of the Daniłowicz Shaft. During the tourist season organized tour groups can buy tickets in ticket offices located outside the building, near the Daniłowicz Shaft

The tour begins from inside of the upper part of the Daniłowicz Shaft. Tourist will also find a waiting room, coffee bar and a souvenir shop called “Żupnik” in the building. Souvenirs and publications on the mine can also be bought in other mine shops located on the surface as well as underground. During summer all guests can take refreshments in a cafeteria garden next to the Daniłowicz Shaft.
